Professional Mentor Program
The Professional Mentor Program provides junior and senior college women students in STEM majors post-graduate life skills to create a smooth transition between college and the workplace. In this program, students enhance professional, communication, personal, and life skills. They learn how to succeed in their desired industry and participate in career planning. The program also aims to improve the confidence and self-efficacy for all participants.
Mentee Eligibility
- Junior standing or higher in a UW-Platteville STEM major with 60+ credits
- Minimum of one year at UW-Platteville campus
- Female identifying
- Looking for professional connections; i.e. internships, co-ops, future jobs
- Willing to invest an average of two hours/week
Mentee Benefits

Sign-up for fall is due by September. If you miss the fall semester sign-up deadline, you can join anytime during the school year and will be assigned a mentor. Email wistemprogram@uwplatt.edu if you have questions.

- Degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
