How to Register for Distance Courses

Here are the steps to guide you through the registration process each semester you are at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. If at any time you have questions, please contact your advisor; they are a great resource and are available to help.

Step 1: Choose your courses

Step 2: Complete your registration agreement and register for course(s)

  • Log in to PASS and complete your Registration Agreement. It can be found in the TASKS area on your PASS CX Dashboard or under MY INFORMATION in the left navigation menu.
  • You will receive a confirmation email in your UW-Platteville account within 24 hours after you have successfully registered.
  • If you have additional holds on your account, are completing a registration that requires a permission number, or receive an enrollment error, you can reach out to your advisor for assistance.

Step 3: Submit payment for your course(s) by the deadline

Step 4: Prepare for the start of courses

  • Review information on textbooks so you are prepared with your course materials for the start of the semester.
  • Be sure to monitor your UW-Platteville email account leading up to and throughout the semester. Important information regarding your courses will be sent there.

Step 5: Semester is beginning

  • Log in to your course during Preview Week. You will have access to your online course(s) one week prior to the start date. This is an opportunity to become familiar with your course, review the syllabus and course calendar, and plan ahead for the semester.
