Cooperating Teachers
A cooperating teacher is a licensed school professional who supervises you during your student teaching. Cooperating teachers are required by PI 34.023 (4) Wis. Admin. Code to meet the following requirements:
- Hold a valid Wisconsin license, or teaching license in the state where the placement is being completed, and have volunteered for assignment as a cooperating teacher.
- Have at least three years of teaching experience with at least one year of teaching experience in the school system of current employment.
- Have completed training in both the supervision of student teaching and in the applicable standards.
