Your Safety is a priority on campus!
- Know Your Resources - If you or someone you know has been a victim of sexual assault, know that you aren't alone! If you would like to report a sexual assault to the university, please contact your Resident Assistant, Resident Director, or University Police. Additionally, Counseling Services serves as a confidential resource to all students.
- Don't Be a Bystander - Sexual Assault is an issue that must be stopped by all of us. If you see a fellow Pioneer in a compromising situation, Stand up and Speak Out. A simple "hello" or the comment of "I haven't seen you in forever" can give someone enough time to get out of a potentially harmful situation. Know your power.
- Keep Informed - According to RAINN, 3 out of 4 sexual assaults are committed by someone that the victim knows. Don't assume that all acts of sexual assaults are committed by a stranger hiding in the bushes.
- Educate Others - One of the fastest ways to end sexual assault is to educate your peers on the topic. The more we know, the more we grow. Check out our brief video below for more information!
