Remedial Courses in Math and English

Entering new students at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville who do not meet the minimum English and mathematics placement test requirements are expected to take remedial courses prior to their being allowed into a first-year English or Mathematics course.

The courses are non-credit, meaning they do not count toward the total number of credits needed to satisfy degree requirements at UW-Platteville. Remedial courses do not count in the UW-Platteville grade point average.

Questions concerning remedial course work for English may be directed to the Humanities Department or the Mathematics Department for mathematics.
