The Markee is more than just a building, it's an experience!
We bring the campus together to foster learning, create an inclusive community, serve the campus, empower leaders, and celebrate the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Pioneer spirit.
Welcome to the Markee
The David J. and Lou Ann Markee Pioneer Student Center is the gathering place for the UW-Platteville campus community.
We support academic learning initiatives and activities by providing an individualized experiential learning laboratory where students can put into practice what they learn in the classroom.
We nurture the understanding and embracing of diversity and inclusion from a personal, interpersonal, institutional, and global perspective. We prize exemplary customer service and seek out opportunities for collaboration to create and support a vibrant, innovative campus life.
We facilitate comprehensive student employment and student leadership development programs that prepare students to be leaders in the world. We proudly host University-wide events and celebrations in a facility that reflects the Pioneer identity.
The Markee offers an assortment of places, services, and events to enhance your campus life. Explore the nooks and crannies, say hello to someone new, discover something different about yourself and others, and you'll soon see why people say, "Meet me at the Markee!"
