Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act

Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF II) Student Aid Funds

The federal government has provided funding for college students nationwide who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. UW-Platteville has received nearly $2.4 million through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) to assist students with emergency costs that arise due to the Coronavirus; such as tuition, food, housing, medical expenses, course materials, and childcare. Priority must be given to students with documented exceptional need.

To qualify for Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) funds a student must complete a FAFSA for the 2020-2021 aid year, they must have be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, and they must have incurred documented emergency expenses as a result of the Coronavirus after December 27, 2020.

Students who have previously received funding through the Pioneers Helping Pioneers program are eligible to apply for funds through the CRRSAA. However, they must have incurred documented emergency expenses because of the Coronavirus after December 27, 2020 to be eligible.
