The Children's Center at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville may be in your neighborhood school!  These programs are run by our child care professionals and provide a safe and educational environment. As is true on campus, the after school care programs are a place where children are all "friends", and love and respect is shown to everyone who enters.

Details

The After-School Care Program is new but continues on in the Children's Center tradition. All children will be offered opportunities to:

  • Work on homework
  • Read books
  • Play board games
  • Do art projects
  • Participate in planned activities

In the After-School Care Program, learning continues through hands-on activities and through play (both quiet and more physical), as in our other classrooms. The activities and projects are planned to:

  • Help the children become more independent with their self-help skills
  • Improve small and large motor skills
  • Provide positive interaction with friends and adults
