The field of social work is projected to grow in the next decade, and through UW-Platteville’s pre-social work program you will be prepared to practice in a wide variety of settings from governmental agencies and correctional facilities to schools and mental health centers. Through a collaboration between the Department of Social Sciences and the Department of Psychology, you will explore courses in psychology, criminal justice, social welfare policy, and social work practice.
The pre-social work program will help you complete a social work certificate and licensure as a certified social worker in Wisconsin through the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.
