If you have a passion for mathematics that you want to share with the next generation of learners, then then the UW-Platteville Department of Mathematics has the program for you! Adding a minor in mathematics for middle level teachers will help prepare you for a career teaching mathematics at the middle school level. You'll complete courses in mathematics for educators, elementary statistics, precalculus and business calculus in addition to courses for your major of choice.
Outside the classroom, you can build on your experience through student clubs and organizations, or community projects like tutoring, volunteering, and student teaching opportunities in community schools. Plus, we offer a wide variety of campus support programs like STEM Living and Learning Communities, mentoring, and more.
