As a UW-Platteville history student, you’ll make your passion for the past the foundation of your future success. You’ll systematically examine historical eras, events, and figures, and you’ll read, write, analyze, and use logic to conduct research, assess arguments, and interpret economic, social, political, cultural, and technological change.

Many internship opportunities, field work early in your education, and travel possibilities give you the practical skills employers demand. History graduates will be prepared to pursue a variety of careers in teaching, employment at museums or historical sites, and graduate study in history or law, among others.
