The LGBTQ+ Studies certificate focuses on gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and gender-related issues. You’ll examine topics in the areas gay studies, gay and lesbian literature, and gender and popular culture as well as a chance to participate in research opportunities.
This certificate complements many majors including political science, English, criminal justice, and psychology as well as the women's and gender studies minor. Graduates with a certificate in LGBTQ+ Studies will be prepared to work with a variety of professions including non-profit organizations, public service institutions, and private businesses.
