The University of Wisconsin-Platteville offers a wide variety of ensembles both large and small. Do you want to play classics of band literature, explore performance literature for chorus, or be exposed to the many works written for string ensembles? Are you determined to sing masterpieces of opera and musical theatre or march as a proud Pioneer at a UW-Platteville football game? You will find a chance to do all of this and more!
Bands
The band program at UW-Platteville is dedicated to stimulating musical growth and providing a comprehensive education to prepare aspiring teachers and performers.

Orchestra
Amazing orchestra concerts, a musical, the annual Holiday Gala, as well as student and faculty soloists, are some of the great opportunities the UW-Platteville orchestra program is offering this year.
Jazz
Opportunities are abundant for jazz studies at UW-Platteville. Jazz I, Pioneer Jazz Orchestra, the repertory big band, and four combos serve as classes for the study of jazz improvisation and styles.
Marching Pioneers

Pioneer Percussion
Students interested in percussion studies at UW-Platteville will be given opportunities to study both pitched and non-pitched percussion instruments.
Musical Theatre
The theatre program offers the arts major with a theatre emphasis, various minors in theatre, and opportunities for all students on the UW-Platteville campus to participate in play production.
Faculty Ensembles
UW-Platteville's music faculty have professional experience in performance, conducting, and arranging. Here at UW-Platteville we are lucky to have two talented faculty ensembles: Ensemble Nouveau and Kassia.
