If you’re dedicated to protecting the environment, reducing waste, minimizing pollution, and developing solutions to environmental challenges, you should explore environmental engineering with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. As an environmental engineer, you’ll use the principles of engineering, soil science, biology, and chemistry to help reduce waste and pollution, and improve environmental conditions through remediation.
The Environmental Engineering program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, https://www.abet.org, under the commission’s General Criteria and the Program Criteria for Environmental Engineering and Similarly Named Engineering Programs.
Our program allows you to hone your analytical skills and ability to clearly explain design ideas and plans. You’ll experience hands-on education with computer modeling, state-of-the-art laboratory work, field work, and site visits.
